Tasks & Duties
•  Develop and maintain Cognos coding and designs.
•  Create, modify and maintain Transformer models and cubes.
•  Develop and maintain Framework Manager models and packages based on user needs.
•  Produce reports and dashboards using Analysis Studio, Business Insight Advanced, and Report Studio, etc.
•  Provide overall administration, configuration, security, and maintenance for the BI environment inclusive of upgrades and vendor support.
•  Direct training, deployment and support of the BI tools.
•  Develop Cognos Business Intelligence strategy and specifications
•  Manage and direct the BI strategy crossing multiple data sources and business areas
•  Coordinate the efforts and provide direction for the BI developers
•  Facilitate the gathering, organization and prioritization of business requirements supporting the organizational analytics strategy.
•  Develop system documentation
•  Develop detailed systems and application operations designs.
•  Develop detailed application flows and environment details
•  Provide design approach summaries and benefits
•  Perform testing and evaluations
•  Monitor system utilization and performance.
•  Adhere to organizational change control methodology and documentation.
•  Work with Services departments and/or Cognos consulting partners to address network/hardware/installation issues that may arise.
•  Develop operational and installation BI procedures.

Required Skills
•  Minimum 3 Years Professional experience using Cognos BI tools.
•  Minimum 3 Years Database knowledge including Oracle, Netezza, and SQL Server.
•  Minimum 3 Years SQL query writing & optimization experience.
•  Minimum 3 Years Understanding of advanced report building techniques against data relational sources.
•  Minimum 2 Years Experience in the ability to present complex technical information in a clear and concise manner to a variety of audiences at various levels in the organization.

Desired Skills
•  2 Years Experience in the ability to develop positive relationships with user communities to better understand their needs, manage expectations and deliver value added actionable information.
•  2 Years Experience in the ability to create a culture of continuous feedback for ongoing improvement in the analytics platform
