1. Clear communication and ability to articulate to team members in Miami
2. Clear ability to apply analytical thinking to analyze data sets and find patterns in data and apply that ability using SQL statements on data sets up to a few hundred million records
3. A strong competency in data architecture
4. Ability to perform data profiling to identify and report errors in data and suggest and implement mechanisms to handle bad data
5. Excellent understanding of dimensional modeling techniques, and ability to suggest, justify and defend the soundness of suggested dimensional designs
6. Demonstrable hands-on experience with T-SQL querying
7. Demonstrable ability to use SSIS to load data into SQL Server database to further analyze
35% Responsible for maintaining and assuring data integrity related to business intelligence systems by documenting, refining, and managing identified classification schemes using the Master Data Management tool
25% Use problem solving techniques and root cause analysis to identify data issues and support cross functional teams to implement new processes or solutions to adapt to the identified data issues
20% Validation of data presented in reports, dashboards, and key performance metrics
10% Assist Data Governance team with researching, defining, and documenting semantics, naming standards, and definitions
10% Interacting with functional users to define reporting parameters and specifications
