MARVELLOUS RANAKPUR JAIN TEMPLE AN EXTRA-ORDINARY TEMPLE OF  AMAZING AND PHENOMENAL  ART IN INDIA DINESH VORA   Ranakpur Jain temple came into existence in fifteenth century and is situated in the quiet isolated valley of Aravali range in Rajasthan state of India. The temple is constructed of light colored marbles and has under floor with an area of 48,000 square feet.  The temple is supported by 1400 exquisitely carved out pillars. It has halls with twenty four pillars in each hall. It has eight Domes supported by four hundred columns. At a height of forty-five feet, upper parts and lower parts of the domes are linked by brackets that have sculpture of deities. At a that height is engraved heavenly nymphs playing the flute in various dancing postures. Each column is unique in masterfully sculptured art and no two columns have similar designs. The most amazing observation of these dome columns is that they change their colors from Golden to light blue and back at every four hours interval, during the day time.   In the prayer hall called Mandap are two big bells of 108 kg each and produces harmonious sound effect when energized to make sound on movement. There are four additional major shrines in the complex includes Chaumukha temple or four faced idol temple pointed at north, south, west and east directions, then Parsvanath temple, AmbaMata temple and Surya temples. The temple complex is considered a masterpiece of art and sculptures. Chaumulha temple is formed like Nalingulm Vimana or heavenly craft or plane. The whole structure is attributed the look of celestial existence. Chaumukha temple has the magnificent idol of Lord Adinath the first Tirthankar of Jains.
