[8897MSCRMCV] Business Analyst role with UX/UI - Century City, CA - Locals Only

Good Morning,

This is Ashok from Siyaton Global solutions, Inc.

I need assistance with the following requirement

Business Analyst role with UX/UI

Long Term

Rate Open

Century city, CA

Must have local only, and prefer US citizen, GC or EAD.  Communication and cultural fit are hugely critical.

Immediate Start

They also prefer that the candidates have experience using basic file sharing tools/platforms like Dropbox, Google Drive, Box.com, Hightail (formerly YouSendIt).

Key attributes to keep in mind when talking with candidates –

Do they take Initiative –No hand-holding and spoon-feeding. If they are lacking in a certain skill such as Agile, do they find their answers by watching a couple of YouTube videos or reading a book?

Productivity level - We're looking for an INSANELY productive person – should be able to crank out great looking, detailed artifacts in a very short amount of time

Quality of work/Attention to detail  - make sure your candidate can spell, does not create typos, and bad formatting. There needs to be a wow-factor.

Complexity thinking – Must have intellectual horse power to put the puzzle pieces together. Admittedly Runner is an insanely complex project, and DMG has an overwhelming breadth of history and detailed information. We have really high standards when it comes to being able to absorb and master complex information in a very short time.

JOB DESCRIPTION

Client is looking for a talented and passionate Business Analyst to assist our project team with gathering user requirements and feedback.

The project is an enterprise buildout of a next-generation, mobile-enabled cloud storage and sharing platform to centrally store, manage, review, and distribute digital files to users worldwide.

The project has been running for almost a year and has a tight-knit group of exceptional team players with a very flat organizational structure.

Client is dedicated to support numerous departments throughout the studio by building tools that make their business processes more efficient. While groups in each lines of businesses have distinctively different workflows and requirements, the BA is to capture the underlying objectives of why each group does what they do, distill the requirements, and offer solutions that will not only benefit the specific group but also the broader audience.

The team runs using a carefully selected and constantly evolving combination of agile methodologies & processes.  Our design and UX process stresses rapid prototyping and is centered on real time course correction based on very tight user feedback loops. We partner closely with our target user groups, and strive to elicit and incorporate their feedback early and often. This is rooted in our strong belief that while mockups and wireframes are useful tools, there is really no substitute for real people using our system to accomplish their day to day responsibilities. This process is enabled by our robust Continuous Delivery pipeline, which allows us to reliably release small batches of new features and functionality into production on a frequent basis.

Required Skills:

  • Strong sense of aesthetics to work collaboratively with designers and product team
  • A passion for building great user experiences and improving people's lives through technology
  • Excellent communication skills and an engaging, outgoing personality
  • Experience researching existing web solutions and internally presenting prototypes/options for possible UX approaches
  • Experience leading user testing sessions for the purposes of informing our UX/design, and for course correcting the application build
  • Experience leading free-flowing, yet controlled requirements gathering workshops with small groups of very busy, possibly distracted users
  • Experience diagramming and documenting existing business processes (Visio or Omnigraffle)
  • Experience creating and maintaining wireframes and prototypes
  • Keynote experience a strong plus

Nice to Have Skills:

  • Experience in Entertainment Industry, Creative Agency, or Advertising
  • Adobe Creative suite
  • Pivotal Tracker
  • Google Analytics
  • MediaWiki – maintaining and updating a public-facing wiki
  • Experience with streaming video UX
  • Experience with search and browse UX
  • Demonstrated ability to keep knowledge and skills up to date (continuing education, conferences, meet-ups, etc)
  • Basic knowledge of agile software development practices

Thanks & Regards,

Ashok Kumar
