Sr. Web/UI Developer
Location: Houston TX
Duration: 6-12month
Rate: $70/hr on C2C
Summary:
The Sr. Web/UI Developer is responsible for developing, testing, implementing, and maintaining enterprise applications and related software and systems, with particular emphasis on user-interface design. Performs ground-up development, maintenance of existing applications, QA testing and technical support as instructed. This individual relies on experience and technical expertise to accomplish assigned goals and tasks. The ideal candidate must display excellent written and oral communication skills with demonstrated interpersonal and organization abilities and be comfortable working in a varied, and fast paced environment.
Responsibilities:
- Responsible for the architecture, development, maintenance, and support of all custom software solutions and purchased systems, as required
- Solid understanding of Windows Presentation Foundation, XAML, themes, layouts, interaction, and styles
- Proficiency with WPF 2D, 3D, animation, multimedia, and interoperability a plus
- Experience with Expression Blend and UI Automation a plus
- Proficiency with graphical design tools such as Fireworks, Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator or Adobe Creative Suite
- Ability to work within various project methodologies, including waterfall, SCRUM, and hybrid versions of PMF/SDLC
- Proficient in the primary technologies supported, including: ASP.NET, C#, MVC, Ajax, Bootstrap, JSON, jQuery, MVVM, HTML5, CSS3, IIS, XML, XLST, and SQL Server
- Experience with jQuery Mobile a plus
- Solid understanding of browser/platform compatibility issues and code solutions
- Solid understanding of coding techniques to prevent cross-site scripting and other malicious attacks
- Responsible for technical support of software solutions as assigned
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals
- Ability to understand, interpret and apply basic algebra and statistics
- Ability to write reports and business correspondence
- Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public
- Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions
- Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form
- Ability to work under pressure and handle shifting priorities
Education and Experience:
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- 4 years Computer Science or comparable degree
- 10+ years of prior experience preferred
- Experience with Java programming desired
