Title: Sr. DataStage Developer
Location: Cypress, CA
Duration: 8 months Contract
Job Responsibilities:
Project - FDS (Financial Data Store) in support PRDS Decommission & UDW Adoption.
During the processing of PacifiCare/NICE data for Medical Claims, Rx Claims, Capitation, Billed Membership, and Revenue,
the FDS DataStage jobs perform several queries against the data and tables in PRDS. With the decommissioning of PRDS, all of the data will be migrated from PRDS to UDW.
In addition, UDW has their own standards for data, tables, etc., and UDW does not permit direct access to the data. UDW will create "views" for use by FDS to retrieve the necessary data.
You will work as Part of the "FDS Dev Team" (1 DEV, 2 SA/SME)
Top responsibilities for this position
1. Modify DataStage jobs and queries in all subject areas (Medical Claims, Rx Claims, Capitation, Billed Membership, and Revenue) to use UDW "views".
2. Ensure outbound files created during DataStage jobs contain same content, values, format, etc., of data as previously retrieved from PRDS.
3. Create Detail Design documentation.
4. Discuss potential solutions to business requirements with other team members.
5. Review Test Strategy, Test Plans, and Test Cases create by QA Team.
6. Identify Risks and/or Issues with projects and communicate to Project Manager and App Dev Mgr.
7. Review Project Plan with Project Manager and make commitments to schedule.
8. Attend Project Status Meetings and provide update on assigned project tasks.
9. Create Deployment documentation, and review with Tech Leads and SS&MO.
software tools/skills needed to perform these daily responsibilities
DataStage 8.7, Linux/AIX, Oracle DB, PL/SQL, TWS (Tivoli Job Scheduler)
Skills/attributes are a must have
DataStage development
Oracle DB
Experience building jobs/processes with DataStage including parallel processing
Skills/attributes are nice to have

Financial/Accounting knowledge
