Job Position: SIP Engineer

Location: Philadelphia, PA

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Must have Skill:-  sip, voip, ims, linux, java

Job description, roles and responsibilities:

·                         Work with cross-functional teams and external vendors to implement new voice services in IMS network. Lead end to end integration and trouble-shooting.

·                         Create and maintain development environments in internal cloud, including launching virtual machines, solving IP connectivity and SIP routing issues, enforcing security rules, and implementing    redundancy and monitoring capability. 

·                         Investigate technical solutions for introducing new voice services and creating KPIs. Be able to write scripts and codes for demonstration, and work with Software Development team for implementation.

·                         When needed, create technical documents, including VoIP call flows, current/target architecture, use story, test cases and operational guideline for peers.

·                         Provide engineering and operation support as Tier 3&4 engineer.

·                         Work with Product Development teams for new feature evaluation and enhancements

·                         Support QA team for solving testing issues and Production team for operational issues.

·                 Monitor and report customer issues. Make recommendations for improving customer experience and saving internal costs. 

Operational Support:

 

·                          Operational Support: Provide tier 3&4 technical support in resolving issues seen during QA, trial, deployment and post-production phases

·                          Test and deploy enhancements and bug fixes: Provide support with testing and deployment of new feature enhancements and bug fixes

·                          Sanity test plan and test cases: Plan for running sanity, and the list of test cases that will be used for sanity testing the solution

·                          Daily standup reporting: A quick daily status update. Requires very good interpersonal and communication skills.

·                         Development and Production instance Maintenance: Support and maintain the development and production environments 

 

 Technical Skill Sets:

 

·                 Must have very strong experience in VoIP communications, including SIP/RTP/SDP protocols, call features and end to end troubleshooting. Understand IMS architecture.

·                 Must have very strong operational experience in Linux environment. (CLI/shell scripts/regular expression/configuration/performance monitoring)

·                 Must have programming experience in JAVA and C.

·                 Must have work experience in web technologies (HTML/XML, Apache/Tomcat, PHP, Javascript, RESTful API, SOAP)

·                 Must have work experience in database (MySQL, Cassandra)

·                 Must have work experience in using Wireshark, SIPp and SOAP UI.

·                 Prefer Freeswitch, OpenSIPS and Mobicents configuration and operational experience.

·                 Prefer OSS integration experience, including Splunk, Nagios and SevOne​
