Job Position: ETL Analyst
Location: King of Prussia, PA

JOB DESCRIPTION:
RESPONSIBILITIES:
· Analyze and design solutions to implement new features after evaluating large volume of historical data.
· Participate in requirements analysis and development planning activities.
· Design data models around the functionality and work with Enterprise Data Architect to finalize the model.
· Produce detailed and accurate documentation relating to assigned tasks when necessary.
· Promote highly-collaborative, team-oriented environment, working closely with all levels of product development staff and third-party development teams.
· Perform ETL development, participate in design and testing of data integration (ETL/Real Time) components utilizing established ETL tools and coding standards.
· Perform existing data analysis with a focus on data quality using data profiling methodologies and tools
· Perform defect/problem analysis and make recommendations as required
· Define and/or support data model customizations to support data integration/ETL processing.
· Perform appropriate levels of unit, integration and performance testing
· Supports requirements definition and contributes to documentation of project and system documentation
· Adhere to established development lifecycle processes and procedures
QUALIFICATIONS:
· BS, MS, or PhD in Computer Science or a related technical field (or equivalent), with strong competencies in object-oriented development, data structures, algorithms and software design and architecture
· 5-7 years solid experience programming with established ETL/Data Integration tool (ie Informatica, DataStage, Talend)
· 3-5 years solid experience using SQL/PLSQL language and ability to write complex queries.
· Understanding of various ETL related concepts such as scheduling, restart/recovery and error handling
· Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously and balance work based on priority
· Understanding of issues regarding Data quality and how to resolve those issues
· 1+ years Linux/Unix experience, including scripting, version control (SVN preferred), etc.
· Strong understanding of dimensional (star/snowflake) data modeling concepts, SQL, query optimization
· Strong experience with relational database technologies (specific Oragle 11G experience is preferred but not required)
· Experience with various data source types including XML, Messaging, Database and Flat files
· eCommerce, Retail, Supply Chain Management experience preferred, but not required
· BA/BS in Computer Science, Business Systems or Engineering
· Strong oral and written communication skills.
· Relevant Business & Technical Skills:
· Strong analytical, design and debugging skills
· Effective in team setting or as individual contributor
· Ability to multi-task
· Ability to develop design, test and deployment documentation
· Ability to work in teams
