Position: RPG Programmer
Location: Indianapolis IN
Type: Contract
The main purpose of this position is to maintain existing and develop new programs and applications for the
System i (iSeries, AS400) system primarily using RPG programming language to meet business requirements.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
The job functions listed below represent the essential job duties and responsibilities of the above-listed
position.
• Plans and develops new programs and redesigns existing to meet business requirements. This includes
design, coding according to project specifications, testing, implementation planning and preparing
documentation throughout all phases of development.
• Works with other departments to understand full requirements of requested system enhancements,
develop plans for testing changes before implementation and provide support in training users impacted by
system enhancements.
• Performs other related duties as assigned by supervisory personnel.
• Timely and regular attendance according to the scheduled shift as determined by supervisory personnel.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
• Requires a minimum of an Associate's degree from an accredited college, university, or technical school in
Computer Science or Management Information Systems or equivalent experience.
• Two to four years RPG and System i development experience required including experience in planning and
design.
Strong RPG, SQL, CL
* Embedded SQL, SQL, creating tables, ILE, Subfile, Triggers
