Job Description:
The SharePoint Developer will be responsible for design and development of software solutions based on Microsoft SharePoint, JQuery, WCF, REST APIs and .Net Framework.
Development of Microsoft SharePoint 2013, JQuery, and .NET framework based business applications.
Create Technical Design, and Implementation Plan for the SharePoint apps and solutions including assessment of utilization of SharePoint 2013 Out-Of-Box features vs. Custom Development matrix.
Scoping and estimation of work effort for each project.
Work with other technical resources on the Solution build.
Participate in Quality Assurance (UAT) process and resolve issues as they arise.
Understanding client requirements by participating in workshops and regular client meetings.
8+ years' experience in Design and Development of web applications based on Microsoft SharePoint, JQuery, JavaScript, SharePoint Client Side Object Model(CSOM), REST APIs, WCF, Search and Business
Connectivity Services (BCS). 1+ years' experience in Design and development of solutions based on Microsoft SharePoint 2013 is mandatory.
Strong SharePoint Designer 2013 skills (especially creating External Content Types and SharePoint 2013 workflows )
Strong JQuery knowledge with .NET programming skills.
SharePoint 2013 Object Model Programming (ability to write custom event handlers, create lists / content types / alerts via code, create features, understand SharePoint Client Object Model etc.) and REST API.
Strong responsive design experience with SharePoint 2013 master pages and pages layouts - branding SharePoint sites.
Customize workflow task and process behaviors through the use of standard SharePoint 2013 workflows.
Strong ability to create custom SharePoint 2013 workflows using Visual studio 2013.
Strong SQL Server 2012 code development experience (database design, stored procedures etc.)
Experience designing and developing solutions on Microsoft SQL Server 2012 (Reporting Services, Analysis Services, Integration Services)
Good understanding of software design patterns (Singleton, Factory Method, and Builder etc.)
Conduct requirements gathering sessions with working groups and individuals to capture business requirements for site changes and new requests
Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with excellent verbal and written skills
The applicant must have experience in development of large and complex SharePoint applications in SharePoint 2013. The applications must be similar in size and scope to the types of application development
designed by a large government entity such as the New York City Department.
Experience with OpenXML and office document content controls.
Experience with SQL Server BI semantic model, Power view.
Business Knowledge - Demonstrate analytical and problem solving skills using knowledge, experience and understanding of Public sector in the United States.
Microsoft MVP Certification and Microsoft Certified Solution Developers (MCSDs) will be a MAJOR PLUS.
Experience with data integration with external systems is a MAJOR plus.
Experience with SharePoint content migration with Metalogix content matrix is desirable.
Experience with Performance Point services, Power View/PowerPivot is desirable.
Experience with JavaScript frameworks - AngularJS, Backbone, Bootstrap in SharePoint is a plus.
