Job Title: Sr. Network Engineer

Location: Denver, Colorado

Duration: 6+ Months

 

Skills: Cisco, IPv6 DOCSIS CPE, liux/unix, routing protocols

 

Job Description:

·         Migration of Cable modem devices to IPv6 (EMTAs, modems, gateways) & Device configuration/ management on the Cisco Broadband Access center (BAC)

Must-Have skills:

·         Hands-on experience in Cisco device provisioning, CPE Provisioning servers, IPv6 DOCSIS CPE, MDD messaging override etc.

·         Experience in Network management systems.

·         Experience in Deployment of DOCSIS 3.0 compliant CPEs or DOCSIS 2.0 plus modems with IPv6 firmware

·          

Knowledge of Multicast: 

·         ASM, SSM, Forwarding IPv6 control traffic.

·         Hands-on configuration and experience in setting up Cisco routers to perform functions at the Access, Distribution, and Core layers.     

·         Proficient in Cisco IOS, Casa & Arris CMTS for configuration & troubleshooting of routing protocols: MP-BGP, OSPF, LDP, EIGRP, RIP, BGP v4, MPLS.

·         Device configuration/management experience on the Cisco BAC/CNR complex, RDU use.

·         Experience in installation of Cisco BAC, RDU, DPE, Network Registrar extensions, STUN server, upgrading and managing the database.

·         Strong experience in System Administration, Installation, Upgrading , Patches , Migration, Configuration, Troubleshooting, Security, Backup, Performance Monitoring and Fine-tuning on UNIX/Linux Server.

·         Experience with setting up QA and test plans, preparation, experience with QA tools such as HPQC, Rally, ALM.
