DESCRIPTION SUMMARY As an automation engineer, understands application call flows, creates reusable automation scripts adhering to keyword and data driven automation framework principles, and utilizes business analysis skills, strong scripting language skills and database skills for testing, documenting and measuring application's functional behavior. Performs business processes testing, checking information content, calculation, storage, updates, functionality, and interaction between and among applications. Participates in complete cycle of product review, testing, documentation and correction.
EXPERIENCE NEEDS:
1. 5-7 years of SQA Automation experience is required
2. 3+ year hands on automation experience using OATS (Oracle Application Testing Suite) required.
3. Advanced knowledge of scripting language OpenScript / Java is required
4. Knowledge of relational database design such as Oracle PL/SQL and general database querying principles is required.
5. Experience with oracle E-business suite is essential
6. Experience in testing accounts payable and receivable systems is essential
7. Familiarity with any one or more programming languages such as C# / Java / Python / Groovy is essential
8. Knowledge of Selenium, Web development tools, and mobile app emulators / automation is essential.
9. Experience with SOAP UI and LOAD UI framework is essential
10. Experience with TFS, Visual Studio - Coded UI framework is essential
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Maintains detailed test plans and cases based upon business and technical requirements/specifications.
- Maintains written and automated test scripts and individual project timelines.
- Performs testing comprised of regression, functional and data integrity.
- Performs processing exception testing, comprised of verification of error handling capabilities.
- Enters defects into tracking system and re-tests corrected defects.
- Maintains extensive working knowledge of company's software application.
- Adheres to the company's software development life cycle processes and procedures.
- Works closely with QA team members, developers and product management.
