Position: SR. Test Engineer ( Scrum )

Description

 ·        Provide QA guidance to scrum teams on creating a test strategy, test plan, test cases and automation of an integrated end to end pathway – focusing on system level / integration testing

·         Provide QA guidance to scrum teams on creation of Epic/Story Acceptance tests

·         Convert requirements into test cases and help define use case scenarios based on product and domain knowledge

·         Find high severity, integration level defects by both test case execution and exploratory testing

·         Work with developers to debug and identify defect root cause

·         Review and approve the test strategies of others to identify coverage gaps and identify more efficient testing methods

·         Lead the design and implementation of system level automated testing for product components

 

Qualifications

·         7+ years of software industry experience with hands-on Quality experience

·         BS/MS in Computer Science or a related technical discipline, or equivalent work experience is required

·         Experience acting as the technical leader and mentor for a team

·         Experience working in a fast-paced, cross-geography engineering environment

·         Experience on installation and configuration of various operating systems (Solaris, HP-UX, AIX, RedHat, SUSE and Windows server family)

·         Strong knowledge of how to apply test automation for efficient testing practices

·         Knowledge about various types of storage systems [SAN, DAS,NAS] and  is a definite plus

·         Knowledge about various types of virtualization software (VMware, HyperV ) is a plus

·         Database knowledge including Oracle is a plus

·         Experience in storage domain / backup-restore is a plus

·         Able to work on multiple projects simultaneously

 

Tools experience a plus

·         Robot

·         Selenium

·         Jenkins
