We are looking for a well-qualified Scrum Master to facilitate the creation of web-based software for use by our providers and partners. This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a mature and very dynamic and diverse team, and work closely with other Scrum teams as part of a larger program. We have adopted the Enterprise Scaled Agile Framework model (SAFe)
Well qualified candidates will be expected to facilitate team meetings and standups, eliminate blocking issues and escalate to leadership as required, maintain and manage release cadence, work with program leadership, coordinate with other program scrum teams, and help to foster best practices.
Strong communication skills are a must as the Scrum Master facilitates and promotes self-organization and displays enthusiastic team support.
Business Analyst skills are desired as there may be a need for some requirements gathering.
Scrum resources based locally and in geographically diverse locations including India.
Tasks:
• Monitor Rally and manage and report on team metrics
• Run Standups, grooming sessions, retrospectives, breakouts, leadership status meetings, and other coordination meetings.
• Report status twice a week in Scrum of Scrums senior leadership calls
• Facilitate PSI planning for team each release (every four sprints)
• Help to develop long term team and program goals.
• Work with other team Scrum Masters to develop best practices
Desired Skills:
• 5 – 8 years of business project management or equivalent experience
• 5 years' experience as a Scrum Master
• Display outstanding communication skills
• Enterprise Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) experience desired but will train as required
• Understand basic fundamentals of iterative development
• Experience managing the basic fundamentals of software development processes and procedures
• Understand the value of commitments to delivery made by a development team and continually drive to meeting those commitments.
• Understand incremental delivery and the value of metrics
• Understand backlog tracking, burndown metrics, velocity, and task definition
• Familiarity with common Agile practices, service-oriented environments, and better development practices
• Rally experience a plus
• PMI-ACP, Certified Scrum Practitioner (CSP), PSM or Scrum Master (CSM) certification desirable
