Title: Cloud Solution Architect

Location: Alpharetta, GA

Duration: 6 months

 

Job Details:

 

  • Provide solution architecture, systems engineering, administration and software engineering including application and data architecture expertise
  • Work closely with the Client business application teams to leverage cloud standard platform services to establish base architectures to be implemented
  • Work closely with the application, data and infrastructure architects to develop new and redeploy repeatable customer solutions
  • Manage the project through implementation into production and day-to-day operations utilizing the on boarding process
  • Provide technical standards including tools & platforms to Client business application development teams
  • Advance business solutions that require interactions and integrations between tools and systems
  • Work with the development teams through the Software Development (SDLC) process
  • Work with the IT Cloud team to design, architect and build new customer facing applications
  • Lead projects and work with the IT Cloud team on new application implementations and application support process improvements
  • Coordinate with teams on new cloud based services
  • Update application and operational documents
  • Participate in cross-functional process improvement workouts
  • Ensure all services are performed following Cloud Services standard processes

 

Qualifications

  • Must have experience managing and administering internal and external customer facing applications
  • 1+ years solution, application, data and infrastructure engineering experience
  • Working knowledge of engineering, developing, deploying and administering customer-facing applications in the enterprise
  • Experience in working with messaging middleware solutions and/or enterprise service bus technologies
  • Fundamental understanding of infrastructure (compute, storage & network) architectures
  • 2+ years of demonstrated project leadership, facilitation, and customer service experience
  • Minimum of 1-year experience managing multiple simultaneous tasks, client relationships, and expectations.
  • Experience with cloud and virtual environments
  • Understand how to implement applications in a cloud infrastructure
  • Understand how to make an application cloud-aware
  • Proven track record in supporting all aspects of technology needs from start-up through maintenance
  • Operational experience in application server technologies (J2EE / .NET)
  • Understanding & working knowledge of Software Development Lifecycle models (Agile, Waterfall, etc.)
  • Experience with service oriented architecture technologies
  • Experience in working with web servers/proxies and understanding of HTTP protocol
  • Programming experience
  • Working knowledge of security standards for cloud and web based applications
  • Working knowledge of databases
  • Solid understanding of different operating system environments (Unix/Linux, Windows, etc.)
  • Experience collaborating with corporate executives and senior leaders to implement critical projects
  • Demonstrated ability to conceive and deliver a broad range of technology solutions to solve complex global application problems
  • Innovative and solution-driven, an effective communicator with proven leadership skills
  • Experience working with Global Teams
  • Experience working on large multi-tiered projects and programs

 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of IT Infrastructure and/or application architecture design
  • 3+ years of experience with cloud computing solutions
  • 10+ years of overall IT/software development experience

·         Proven ability to lead change across large platforms / functional areas using innovative technology solutions

·         Demonstrated competency in strategic thinking and leadership with strong relationship management ability

·         Excellent communication, negotiating and influencing skills at all levels of the organization as well as with external organizations

Title: Unix Engineer

Location: Alpharetta, GA

Duration: 6 months

 

Server Install  ( Physical / Virtual & OS : UNIX + Windows)

 

Need candidate with 4+ years of experience

 

Validate the server build document and the server build requirement.

Install server operating as per the predefined standards (SOP)

Building servers on Physical and Virtual environment.

Apply approved patches on the newly built servers

Server configuration as per the set standard.

Configure Storage on server

Install Software

Install and configure toolsets (Opsware, open view, antivirus)

Install Backup NBU Client software

Network and Security Configuration - (Defined as SOP)

Cluster Configuration

Install and configure cluster software

Configure storage volume for cluster.

Build cluster nodes

Test cluster failover

Server Virtualization

Building and configuration of Solaris Zones.

Solaris Container configuration and management.

Create FLAR for P2V migration of Solaris.

Patching and packaging of Solaris Zones.

 

 

Server and Data migration

 

Migration of servers and data from

Physical server to Physical server

Physical server to Virtual server

Virtual Server to Virtual server

Data migration and validation as per customer requirement.

 

Server De-Install (Defined Standards)

 

Assess and Remove Storage(local disk, SAN and NAS)

Remove tools and other software on server.

Wipe/Clean data from storage

Disable and remove server cluster configuration

Remove from monitoring tools

Remove server from Network

 

Quality Assurance for newly built server (Technical  Evaluation)

 

Validate build documents.

Validate server build against standard checklist.

Escalate build errors to Build team (Incident ticket).

Update asset attributes in CMDB.

Close build documents.

Publish the Server Quality Assurance results.

Perform Quality Assurance rerun for server that has failed the pervious Quality Assurance test.

Communication of Quality Assurance status/completion to all Stakeholders.

 Update server information to the CMDB.

Activating Asset records on CMDB.

 

Operational Activities

 

Manage Incident/Change/Problem/Service Request tickets.

Monitor the build queue and respond to all build related queries in timely manner.

Co-ordination with other supporting teams during build process.

Timely escalation of issues to L3 teams. 

 Vendor co-ordination and escalation.

Co-ordinate with offshore build team on all activities.
