Need USC and GC 

Job Description

·         Responsible for building and day to day management and support of Hadoop clusters.

·         Ensure Big Data environment is secure, healthy, backed up, and ready for all contingencies

·         Manage user and group access to various Big Data resources

·         Monitor and troubleshoot Big Data clusters using a variety of open source and proprietary toolsets

·         Evaluate and propose new tools and technologies to meet the needs of the organization

·         Document configs and upgrade procedures

 

Technology

·         5+ years of experience on unix administration on linux-based systems

·         Strong experience as Hadoop Admin in Cloudera based clusters.  Cloudera certification strongly desired.

·         Experience installing, configuring, monitoring, and administering large Hadoop clusters

·         Experience on administration of HDFS, HIVE and HA MR2 / YARN.

·         Experience or a strong understanding of Hadoop architecture Oozie, HBase, Hue, Flume and ZooKeeper

·         Strong knowledge of Linux, OS level file system and network troubleshooting

·         BS/MS - Computer or relevant engineering discipline strongly desired

 

Other Skills

·         Good written communication skills (spec documentation, status updates, etc)

·         Good verbal communication skills.
