System Software Developer
Alpharetta, GA

We (TSS R&D) are looking for a System Software Developer to work on a new project building the next generation of system and platform monitoring and analysis tools for the modern connected world. You will work with leading cloud, big data technologies and advanced analytics technologies.

Responsibilities
  • Designing, developing, testing and deploying large-scale software systems
  • Analyzes design and determines coding, programming, and integration activities required based on specific objectives and established project guidelines.
  • Develops and executes automated tests and documentation for assigned portion of application; identifies and debugs issues with code and suggests changes or improvements
  • Participates as a member of SCRUM team of other software systems engineers and internal and outsourced development partners to develop reliable, cost effective and high quality solutions for assigned systems portion or subsystem
  • Collaborates and communicates with development partners regarding software systems design status, project progress, and issue resolution
Education and Experience
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent
  • Minimal 6-10 years' experience in software development

Agile development knowledge and/or experience
Using multiple software systems design tools and languages

Java development skills
  • Experience with RESTful web services, Kafka, Storm, Hadoop, and HBase desired
  • Web development knowledge and/or experience in one or more of the following: Grommet, ReactJS, HTML5, CSS, XML, Python, XAML
  • Ability to apply analytical and problem solving skills
  • Designing software systems running on multiple platform types
  • Solid understanding of web services
  • Understanding of system-level details across operating systems( Linux), networks and middleware
  • Familiar with Agile development methodologies (Scaled Agile Framework model is being used) 
  • Demonstrable experience with test-driven development, unit testing, mock testing tools, continuous build and continuous integration
  • Demonstrated ability to work and deliver in global, cross-functional, and virtual teams
  • Ability to communicate effectively to peers and team members

Network Engineer
Plano, TX

$50.00/hr

Overview:
  • The engineer would have a good understanding of basic routing and switching technologies across multiple vendors such as Cisco, HP, Aruba and Checkpoint. The engineer should have mid-level or advanced level experience within a data center environment. The individual should be able to interact with team members and third party vendors to gather and understand requirements; communicate the scope of the project/service; deliver high quality and courteous service; and provide detailed documentation of work performed. The engineer would provide day to day technical support, implementation and testing of network and server components at high-availability, critical network dependent sites, based on Cisco networking (potentially some HP switches).
  • This individual will provide daily operational assistance which include providing support for the local network in troubleshooting, fulfilling requests and providing local hands and eyes. This would include creating implementation plans and test plans to support ongoing change management requirements. From time to time the contributor will be asked to identify and suggest ways to improve the customer experience through tools, processes, innovative ideas, etc.
  • Requirements

MUST-HAVES:
  • Solid understanding of standard networking protocols such as TCP/IP, firewalls, IP addressing, subnetting, NAT, QoS, IPSec, SSL, FTP, SMTP, HTTP/HTTPS, DNS, DHCP, ICMP, etc.
  • Solid understanding of standard cabling/wiring standards and termination requirements including UTP/STP, Ethernet, fiber optics, T1s and various Ethernet converters
  • Be considered an advanced level troubleshooting and support resource on at least one network technology such as Cisco, Juniper or HP networking and has knowledge of equipment, protocols, technologies, services, and monitoring tools.
  • Implementation of quality of service on a network
  • Have packet level capture and analysis capabilities.
  • Design, implementation, support and management experience in Complex LAN/WAN environments
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office suite products including Visio and Power point.

PLUSES:
  • Working knowledge on any hardware (Servers/Blades) like HP/Sun/IBM/Dell and corresponding tools like Insight Manager, Open Manage, IBM Director, Client Insight, etc.Experience with HP Service manager or ITIL service methodologies
  • Knowledge of F5 product suite including BIG IP, LTM , GTM , APM
  • Experience with HP Networking and checkpoint firewalls
  • Hands on experience on Virtualization, Cloud Computing, Cluster and Storage concepts
  • Good working Knowledge of Backup and Recovery mechanisms
  • Excellent understanding of networking and firewall technologies
  • Complex LAN/WAN environments (design, implementation, support and management)
  • Server and desktop virtualization using products such as VMWare, Hyper V and Citrix
  • HP network equipment preferred but other candidates will be considered.

Client is seeking an individual who selected their primary skill as Administration –Teradata Databases.  The consultant must have extensive experience in administering databases (Logical and Physical RDBMS design, database security, database architecture, b ackup/recover, database tuning and space management)…Should have an understanding of Client/Server applications desirable as well as familiarity with fundamental networking/distributed computing environment concepts desirable

Requirements:
  • Must have 5-10 years of Teradata database administration and structured development methodology inclusive of the following:T
  • Teradata SQL, strong Teradata performance and tuning Capacity planning, Performance Tuning, Monitoring and management
  • Teradata Data Warehouse development strategies (bteq, procedure, macros)
  • Proficiency with meta data, data modeling and data quality tools
  • Documentation creation and maintenance of procedures
  • Provides support for application projects including capacity planning and application integration.
  • Build/upgrade, tune, backup and restore Teradata databases
  • Support development, test, and production Teradata databases including concurrent development efforts
  • Ability to understand business needs, analyze business cases, extract requirements to order develop leading edge data warehouse designs
  • Updates and communicates project status to management, team members, and other supporting vendors
  • Mentors and educates colleagues with respect to database design and implementation practices

Responsible for architecture and design for data models in support of Data Warehouse solutions. Translates business requirements into logical and physical database models. Understands methodologies and techniques for designing data integration, aggregation, standardization and validation in Enterprise Data Warehouse solutions.

Tasks/Activities:
  • MPI (Manufacturing Process Intelligence) & EIC (Executive Information Center) data warehouse expert.
  • Explain and demonstrate the configuration in Apriso Software
  • Assist in writing and reviewing functional specifications
  • Assist in writing and reviewing detailed specifications related to the gaps or functional evolution
  • Assist in the validation of tests scenario - Coach / mentor Supplier's and Client's resources
Requirements:
  • 5+ Years of Apriso MES Experience (preferred with Version 9.6 or later)
