Test/QA Engineer

Redmond WA

6+ Months contract

We're looking for a Test/QA Engineer who is passionate about delivering revolutionary new experiences that harnesses the power of the cloud and pushes the boundaries of what a service can do. You will make it possible for enterprise partners to promote and sell their services, virtual machines or finished applications on Azure.

You will be working with an amazing team of operations, engineering, and process experts in delivering a whole new set of cloud services and operational enhancements. By unlocking the power of the Azure in creative ways, you will play a critical role in helping our client partners and developers reach unprecedented levels of business productivity.

Role, Responsibilities, and Requirements:

* 4+ years of relevant experience in software quality assurance

* 2+ years of testing and validating web applications and responses from web services

* 1+ years of Agile Scrum methodology experience

* 2+ years of using VSTS/TFS for user story management and defect tracking

* 2+ years of using SQL for database validation

* 2+ years using .NET

* 2+ years of experience using HTML5, CSS3/SASS/LESS and JQuery * 2+ years of experience utilizing SQL Server; LINQ, ADO.NET Entity Framework; PowerShell

* Prefer experience writing automated test scripts using Visual Studio or other 3rd party testing tools

* Understand and differentiate the various types of testing (unit, smoke, functional, integration, system, user acceptance, regression, performance, and usability testing)

* Effectively analyze requirements to create usable test cases

* Document defects with clear information and steps to recreate

* Multi-task to meet assignment deadlines

* Demonstrate excellent team work and collaboration skills
