Position: Information Security Generalist

Location: Winston Salem, NC

Duration: 6+ month/ Contract

Job Description:

 

Our Client, a major technology integrator is in need of an Information Security Consultant for an initial 6 month contract with a potential long term extension in Winston Salem, NC. The consultant will be responsible for assessing the current environment and assisting in organizing ongoing and new security initiatives and moving them forward. Additionally, the consultants will knowledge transfer standard industry practices in order to help our customer with the assessment and improvement of their security posture.

 

Required Skills:

•          5+ years' experience in IT Security practices

o          Strong Risk Assessment, and hands-on technical skills (GRC)

o          A blended background with experience/knowledge within all or some of the following:

          IR

          Cyber Security

          IDS

o          Protects system by defining access privileges, control structures, and resources.

o          Implements security improvements by assessing current situation; evaluating trends; anticipating requirements.

o          Determines security violations and inefficiencies by conducting periodic audits.

o          Upgrades system by implementing and maintaining security controls.

o          Keeps users informed by preparing performance reports; communicating system status.

•          Excellent consultative skills

o          Strong written and verbal communication

          Documentation/Reporting skills

 

Desired Skills:

•          Obtained or in active pursuit of one or more of the following certifications:

o          CISSP

o          CISA

o          CISM
