Deployment Automation Engineer with Grails

Location: Bothell WA

Duration: 1+ year

Position duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Ability to think critically about using technology to achieve corporate goals and helping to drive the business forward.
• Work with a team of highly motivated professional developers with specialized skill sets in JAVA, GRAILS, Weblogic, Oracle database development.
• Design, document and develop manual and automated tests of internal application systems at all levels of the application including business logic, user interface, service layer and database.
• Design and develop unit, integration and system tests using tools such as Spock, GEB and Selenium.
• Develop, document and execute automated and manual regression test suites to confirm application quality.
• Assist team to design, develop, test and deploy complete systems to integrate with our evolving Deployment Automation Solutions 
• Responsible for software testing, database scripts, source control, code review, documentation and user training in support of the development team.
• Work through the entire Software Development Life Cycle.

Functional and technical skill requirements:

• Experience Testing and Developing Grails and JAVA web applications.
• Experience Testing and Developing solutions using RDBMS, Oracle strongly preferred.
• Experience with Continuous Integration, Continuous Delivery, Containerization and Continuous Testing strongly preferred.
• Experience with agile and SCRUM methodology.
• Experience using tools for software version control and build management. Experience with GIT and Jenkins preferred.
• Strong problem-solving and software triage skills with the ability to work cross-functionally in a fast-paced and rapidly changing work environment
• Desire to share ideas and think outside the box
• Experience developing and building test automation at all levels of the application including business logic, user interface, service layer and database. 
• Knowledge of application deployment in an EIT operations setting preferred. Knowledge of Tibco deployment strongly preferred.

Experience and education requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in computer engineering, computer science, or software engineering, or 10 years' experience as a developer or SDET.
• At least 2 years' experience, serving as an SDET on an Agile Development Team.
• At least 2 years' experience, working with applications using Oracle 9i/10g/11g or MS SQL Server 2008/2012.
• At least 2 years' experience, developing test automation of Grails/JAVA web-based applications.
