Contract Sr. Java Developer (EDI)

Our growing SaaS client is looking for a Contract Java Developer (with EDI experience) for a 12 month contract.  This developer will play a key role in designing and architecting solutions for their healthcare clients. They will take critical projects through the entire SDLC.  Job responsibilities will include both server-side and client-side development and requires familiarity with the application, database, network, security, infrastructure, virtualization, etc.

The client has both internally grown frameworks and mainstream structures (AngularJS, JQuery, JSON, DWR, JMS/JORAM, HTML4/5, etc.).  Other duties may include some development & maintenance of SQL scripts, automation scripts, build scripts, etc.  This is a fast paced environment and the ideal candidate will be a self-starter and able to work independently or with a team.    

Required Skills

  • 5+ years software development experience
  • 4+ years of EDI experience (healthcare claims highly preferred) 
  • Strong core Java, Servlet/JSP, HTML/JavaScript
  • Solid relational database (MySQL, SQL Server) experience.
  • Ability to write complex SQL and tune SQL for optimal performance
  • Object Oriented Programming
  • Linux/Unix, Windows
  • Experience with the full SDLC
  • Strong communication skills – both verbal and written
  • Resourceful and solution oriented
  • Bachelor's Degree
