Job Title: AIX Admin

Location: Wilmington, DE

Duration: 6+ Months

 

Roles & Responsibilities:

-          As a AIX Administrator, you will support and maintain servers in a distributed environment.

-          You will be responsible for problem resolution, performance tuning and analysis, proactive problem prevention, detection, circumvention and resolution to root cause.

-          You will also provide application of software patches as well as release and version upgrades of operating systems and associated software to maintain currency and enhance reliability and supportability.

-          You will also handle system security, integration, analysis, architecture, and network support.

 

Activates include:

•     Aix System upgrades and patches

•     Disk configuration

•     Performance Tuning

•     Monitoring incident ticket queue and troubleshoot and resolve system incidents within SLA

•     Monitor storage consumption, trend long term usage and proactively work with Architecture group to plan SAN procurement.

•     Support Application upgrades of third party software.

•     Scripting of tasks for automation of daily operations
