Job Description: looking for an experienced Software Engineer to take part in a team that is building automated software testing tools and platforms. The candidate will immediately be involved in efforts to create automated tools for integration and regression testing. Candidates should possess developer skills, specifically in Java and scripting technologies and SQL, but also have a testing mindset.

GENERAL ACCOUNTABILITIES • Development and support of testing tools and test automation framework components. • Collaborate with analysts, testers, and developers to identify required tool and component functionalities. • Design and prototype testing components which are configurable and scalable. • Collaborate with other engineers on architecture, design, code, and configuration reviews. • Provide status reports to project managers describing accomplishments. • Follow department quality assurance guidelines and processes.

JOB SPECIFICATIONS • Minimum BS degree in Computer Science or related field. • 2+ years of Java application design and coding experience. • Strong knowledge of scripting languages (Windows batch, Korn or Bash Shell, etc.). • Experience with database technologies such as SQL, PL/SQL and JDBC) desired. • Experience with XML technologies such as DOM/SAX parsing and XSLT desired. • Knowledge of dynamic programming languages such as Python or Groovy desired. • Familiarity with test automation and automation frameworks such as Robot Framework, SoapUI and/or Selenium is a plus. • Familiarity with Continuous Integration tools such as Jenkins desired. • Working knowledge of Linux (RedHat), Unix (Solaris), and Windows. • Knowledge of Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, Visio, etc.). • Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills. • Creative, problem-solving approach with developed multi-tasking ability. • Ability to effectively function in a fast-paced and constantly changing environment.

Agile 1 - 2 years, Java 2 - 4 years,  Unix shell scripting 1 - 2 years,  XML 1 - 2 years, Database technologies 1 - 2 years.

Familiarity with dynamic programming langiages such as Python or Grrovy a plus but not required. Experience with Continuous Integration tools such as Jenkins desired. Also, experience with source code control systems such as Subversion or Mercurial desired
