The two books are by Stephene Hessel, A French Jewish political activist. The first book (2010) is Time for Outrage, and it's only 29 pages long. The second book (2011): The Path to Hope is 67 pages long, but I imagine we will concentrate on Outrage and skim over Hope. I can't believe I said that!
I will repeat: we'll meet at 6:00 and chat and snack until about 6:20 and then begin our discussion. If you'd like to bring a snack to share, please do. It would be good if we finished at 9:00.
I think it will be a lively discussion even if we are all members of the choir. I am glad we are finally meeting.

The aim is to get people to their polling places on Saturday, October 27 (the first day of early voting), on Sunday, October 28 (the only "Souls to the Polls" day for this election), Saturday, November 3 and on Tuesday, November 6th (election day). Good networkers are needed who connect with others who will then be the people who make sure the people around them are informed and that they get to the polling place to vote. In general, anyone who wants to get involved should expect to be asked to participate in the following activities:

It looks like we are settled on Wednesday October 24 here at my house to
meet and discuss the interesting books by Hessel. I would like to meet at
6:00, chat, get our snacks, and then settle down to discussion about 6:15.
I'm trying to accomodate everyone's schedule. My schedule requires ending
our meeting by 9:00.
I'll have a bottle of red wine, seltzer water, some light snacks.
If you need directions, just let me know and I will send them to you.
