VMware Virtualization Engineer
Location: Springfield, MA
Duration: 3- 6 Months
About the Opportunity:
Client is seeking an experienced infrastructure engineer with a focus on virtualization technologies, to assist with the implementation of a Private Cloud solution. The solution is already designed and approved for us build the Cloud solution while integrating that solution into the existing enterprise infrastructure of our client. This will be interesting work in which your technical VMWare experience and your professional interpersonal skills will be of great importance in the implementation/support of the solution.
Responsibilities:
In this project role, you will be responsible for:
- Implementing the delivery plan for a Private Cloud solution
- Providing expertise on the implementation strategies of virtualization technologies
- Providing on-going technical support during the implementation of the solution
If the above skill sets/experience match you career experience and you meet the below requirements, we encourage you to apply:
- Demonstrated experience in implementing VMware Vsphere in enterprise environments leveraging H/A features
- Demonstrated skill set in implementing the following Vmware platforms: VCenter Operations Manager, VCloud Director, Service Manager, Orchestrator
- Exhibited experience implementing and supporting VMware View, Citrix XenDesktop
- Strong experience working in or with Cisco UCS and Netapp environments
- Experience with implementing server/storage solutions in support of virtualized platforms – (IBM Blade Center, HP Chassis, UCS, Fiber channel/NAS storage, etc)
- Experience implementing Microsoft App-V or Citrix XenServer hypervisors is a plus
- Bachelor Degree in Engineering desirable but not required
- VMware, Citrix, Microsoft Certs desirable but not required
- Ability to travel to Springfield, MA
