Title: Recovery Solution Architect - NetBackup / Linux
Location: Philadelphia PA , Scottsdale AZ , Carlstadt NJ
Duration : Long Term
| Position Requirements
Education Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or related technology discipline
Required Experience · At least 10 years of experience architecting production solutions utilizing multiple versions of NetBackup to backup and recover applications running on Linux VMWare.
OT Required Technical Competencies · Linux recoveries including PàP, PàV, BMR · Backup and Storage solutions to include physical and virtual environments · Specific knowledge of Databases and best practices related to backup/restore · Specific knowledge of Applications and best practices related to backup/restore · Must have the ability to analyze technical documentation and identify gaps/risks · Strong writing skills to produce technical documentation is a MUST · Ability to lead technical working sessions · Strong knowledge of network and systems design principles including routers, switches, firewalls and load balancers · Infrastructure services recovery to include DNS, Active Directory and other Directory Services implementations · Advanced knowledge Multi-Tier Application architecture design
Technical Leadership · Proven experience leading the delivery of complex DR testing services · Tenacious work ethic, doing whatever it takes with resolve, integrity and an appropriate sense of urgency to meet deadlines and get the job done. · Team Player mentality with experience building relationships in a matrix environment. · Excellent technical leadership and interpersonal skills that instill confidence and trust among SunGard's client base, internal superiors and peers
Additional Preferred Technical Competencies: · Experience architecting production solutions utilizing multiple versions of NetBackup to backup and recover applications running on Windows VMWare. · Application Recovery (MS Exchange, SAP, SharePoint) · RDBMS Recovery (MS SQL Server, Oracle) · At least one of the following backup technologies: o CommVault o Tivoli Storage Manager o Networker o Data Domain · Proficient in at least one of the following replication technologies: - EMC Avamar - Hitachi TrueCopy - EMC HomeBase - FalconStor - EMC RecoverPoint - IBM Global Mirror · Virtualization (VMware ESX, Microsoft's Hyper-V, VMM, & Virtual Server, Xen) · RHEL/CentOS versions (4, 5, 6)
