Position : Lead SharePoint Developer
Location: DC
Duration of Project: 6 months
Specific Position Responsibilities
Develop software solutions for safety applications through periodic software releases utilizing Microsoft technologies such as SharePoint, .Net Framework and Reporting Services.
Perform data analysis, develop relational data models and OLAP models by safety subject areas to support reporting and business intelligence needs.
Assist in the migration from Microsoft Reporting Services platform to IBM Cognos Reporting platform.
Specific Position Requirements
Experience developing Safety applications in transportation industry preferred.
Development experience in MS SharePoint version 2007, custom developed SharePoint application upgrade from MS SharePoint version 2007 to 2010
Solid understanding of Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC)
Demonstrate through understanding of OO programming concept
Experience in .NET software development with Microsoft technologies using C#, .NET Framework and java scripting
Knowledge of installation of SharePoint server and creating and managing site-collections
Ability to customize web parts using MS visual studio and windows SharePoint services
Ability to create Web pages ASPX and publishing web pages
Thorough understanding of out-of-the-box SharePoint features
Expertise in handling master pages
Hands on experience in Report design/development in Data Warehousing/Business Intelligence implementations
Strong knowledge of one or more Business Intelligence toolsets, preferably MOLAP (Microsoft, Cognos, etc.)
Hands on experience in relational and non-relational data modeling
Strong knowledge of MS SQL Server: SSAS and SSRS
Exposure to ETL tools is a plus preferably in Microsoft platform
Experience in integration with Cognos tools.
Knowledge of Microsoft Team Foundation Server development management framework.
Proven track record of providing production support
