Position Name: Data Modeler

Location: Dallas, TX and Atlanta, GA

Duration: 4 Months

Scope of Work: Basic position responsibilities include understanding and analyzing data requirements, application and processing architectures, data dictionaries, and database schemas, as well as designing, developing, amending, and optimizing applications and databases to meet enterprise requirements. This person will be responsible for gathering, analyzing, and normalizing relevant information related to, and from business processes, functions, and operations to evaluate data credibility, determine relevance and isolate issues. She/he will develop database and warehousing designs across multiple platforms and computing environments and serve as the resident expert in efficient data retrieval and manipulation, interface techniques, and complex reports development. Experience:

• Required: 8+ years of overall IT work experience in DBA, DBMS design, development and support in relevant database computing environments

• Required: 5 years designing and programming relational databases Knowledge of:

• Expert database programming skills

• Expert database performance analysis, troubleshooting and tuning

• Expert understanding of logical and physical database design and concepts

• Expert reports development skills

• Strong problem solving and analytical skills

• Strong understanding of application and database security design concepts

• Strong analytical skills including the ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions

• Strong organizational skills, ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously and prioritize effectively

• Strong data validation skills

• Strong understanding of SDLC and ITIL standards

• Ability to effectively translate business requirements into technical requirements

• Ability to rapidly understand new applications, database schemas, and technologies

• Ability to effectively work independently and in a team environment

• Ability to work outside normal working hours when necessary

• Attention to detail is a must for this position Education:

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related technical discipline or certification(s)
