The Network Engineer is responsible for the design, security, stability and sustainability of the network infrastructure. The ideal candidate will be expected to provide a high quality first-tier network for multi-site network operations. This is a hands-on IT infrastructure position in a dynamic and fast paced environment.
Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent
• 7-10 years of hands-on experience implementing and administrating network devices with the following
protocols and concepts:
o Cisco IOS, Nexus and Cisco hardware platforms
o Internet routing protocols, BGP, TCP/IP, IPSEC, OSPF, VSS, MPLS, Ethernet, VoIP, routing, switching,
load balancing, VLAN
o 6500 Layer 3 and Layer 2 IOS
o 2800/2900 series routers
o 2960/3560 routers
o ASA firewall/VPN concentrator 5500 series
o Cisco IPS/IDS experience
o Wireless Access Points (3600 series)
o Virtualized enterprise networking environments
• Experience in a large scale datacenter network implementations and support.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Scripting skills
• Excellent time management, organizational skills, crisis management and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work independently and with a team environment
• Must be able to lift and maneuver 40 lbs.
Experience/knowledge of several of the following is a plus:
• Current CCNA, CCNP, CISSP or CISA
2 professional references of the Reporting Manager from latest projects highly desired.
