· Troubleshoot Java/J2EE application issues
· Analyze end-to-end performance of web & database services
· Able to understand security scans, thread dumps and heap dumps
· Experience in web servers and application servers (Apache, Tomcat, Weblogic, Glassfish)
· Familiarity with Java and deploying Java/J2EE web applications
· SQL Experience in Oracle/SQL Server/MySQL - Nagios and/or other monitoring experience
Job description
• Build, deploy and troubleshoot candidate systems for QA and then promote to Production
• Monitor & Manage DEV & QA Test Server availability
• Notifications and creating temporary workaround solutions (e.g. create a new instance if one of the servers is unresponsive) to minimize downtime
• Troubleshoot Java/J2EE application issues
• Analyze end-to-end performance of web & database services
• Able to understand security scans, thread dumps and heap dumps
• Assist with maintaining accurate software and hardware inventory
• Able to work in a team environment
Required Skills and Experience
• Experience in web servers and application servers (Apache, Tomcat, Weblogic, Glassfish)
• Familiarity with Java and deploying Java/J2EE web applications
• SQL Experience in Oracle/SQL Server/MySQL - Nagios and/or other monitoring experience
• Linux Shell scripting (bash) & basic Unix commands
• Familiar with HTTP/HTTPS, FTP, SMTP, Message queuing, HTML / XML, SOAP, Proxy servers, VPN, Networking (basics).
• Security (LDAP, public/private keys)
• Good communication skills
