Job Position:  ETL QA Analyst

Location:  Eden Prairie, MN

Duration:  6 months +

RESPONSIBILITIES:

 

• Test planning, estimation, and scheduling of QA resources and activities 
• Coordination of Quality Assurance offshore / onshore team efforts for the assigned initiative 
• Work concurrently on several projects, each with specific instructions that may differ from project to project 
• Ensure that quality processes are carried out through all phases of the Software Development Lifecycle 
• Develop and implement efficient and effective testing strategy, test conditions and test scripts 
• Ability to develop database testing queries using complex SQL. 
• Work with others through coaching and mentoring to ensure tasks are completed on time 
• Work with project team to identify risks if quality assurance process is not followed 
• Own and manage test environments and processes 
• Ensure process improvements are documented and incorporated in the quality assurance process 

SKILLS NEEDED:

 

HP- Application Lifecycle Management (Quality Center) 
SQL (SQL Server, Oracle, or Teradata) 
Relational Database and ETL 
.NET Application Technologies 
BI-Reporting (Cognos, MicroStrategy, Xcelsius) 
Rally 

MUST HAVE:

 

- B.S. undergraduate degree in applicable area of expertise and/or 5 or more years of experience in an IT professional related field 
- 6+ years of Quality Assurance/Testing experience 
- 2+ years of relational database experience 
- 2+ years Quality Assurance Team Leadership experience 
- Basic PL SQL or MS SQL skills 
- Understanding of all phases of the Software Development Life Cycle 

NICE TO HAVE:

 

Experience with Relational Databases, MS SQL Server/Oracle/Teradata 
-Experience working within an onshore/offshore staffing model 
-Healthcare Industry experience 
-Experience with Agile and Waterfall project management methodologies, including hybrid approaches 
- Experience with test case management tool (ie HP-Application Lifecycle Management tool) 
- Experience with HP-QTP automation in data driven framework
