This Friday, Sept 19 Lineup

 

 

Bonnie Raines' story of her Vietnam era activism is told in 1971.  She will be on hand to talk about it after the screening.  This Friday and Saturday.

 

Carl Wilkens was the only American who refused to leave Rwanda when the genocide broke out in 1994. See his story I'm Not Leaving, and meet Carl and his wife Teresa. Playing with short film Stomp Out Genocide with director Mitch Lewis on hand. This Friday.

 

Beyond the Divide demonstrates peace-building at its finest.  Director Jan Selby joins us to share her work. This Friday and Saturday.

 

Meet the Sweethearts from the film Pretty Old, about the Ms. Sweetheart America Pageant.  Some of the contestants featured in the film will wow us at the end of the film. This Friday and Saturday.

 

Broken City Poets is a groundbreaking short that looks at what happens when young artists face facts and use poetry as a vehicle for analysis and empowerment.  Jose Vadi, the program's coordinator joins us.  This Friday.

 

Director John Wellington Ennis brings his new film on the need for election reform in Pay 2 Play: Democracy's High Stakes.  This Friday and Saturday.
