Position: Sr Informatica ETL Developer

Location : New York City, NY

Position Type : Full time Employment

Salary : DOE

 

Responsibilities:

 

The developer will be responsible for tasks related to the data acquisition platform of an active global financial data warehouse and data mart:

• Development, testing  and support of high volume data transformation processes.

• Development, testing  and support of transaction control architecture for a highly concurrent active data warehousing platform.

 

Professional Experience in the Following Areas:

 

• Thorough understanding of  ETL using Informatica

• ETL Platforms: concepts, methodologies, processes, architectures and technologies.

• Major ETL Platforms Knowledge: Informatica.

• Data Models: Conceptual, Logical, and Physical & Dimensional/Relational Data Model Design.

• SQL Concepts & SQL Statements Optimization and Execution. Indexes and Indexing Strategies Materialized Views, Clusters, Caching, Partitioning, and Parallel Processing.

• Unix Scripting: Shell scripts, Perl etc.

• Scheduling: Tivoli, Cron-tabs, Informatica Scheduler

Knowledge or experience with following

• Database Architectures: Transactional Data Stores, Operational Data Stores, Data Warehouses, Data Marts.

• Knowledge of any Enterprise-Level Database server: Oracle, DB2, Teradata, Sybase.

• Understanding of financial products
