Role: System Architect

Location: Tallahassee, FL

Duration: 6+ Months

 

Responsibilities:

• Monitor and update the software release process for the Health Management System (HMS) on a daily basis to ensure efficient use of resources that provide the most stable environment for HMS development changes.
• Work with key HMS development team members to establish an architectural framework for the HMS application on a daily basis.
• Establish quantifiable objectives to monitor performance of the HMS development team on a daily basis in order to maintain control over the architecture lifecycle and ensure HMS system performance is within established standards and timeframes set by the Department.
• Support quantifiable efficiency gains in HMS software development by providing professional expertise on new software development coding strategies that would fit/augment the existing architectural framework on a daily basis.
• Establish development standards guidance to HMS development staff regarding the current solution architecture, operating principles and standards on a daily basis.
• Plan, build and track changes to the HMS software source code on a daily basis for all application environments (i.e., development, quality assurance, stage and production).
• Work with the HMS release manager on a daily basis to develop and identify post-processing support tools to aid production release as part of a software development life cycle in a time directed by the Department

 

Required Skills

• 10 years of experience with the development of web based applications.
• 10 years of experience with object-oriented techniques.
• 10 years of experience with software development related root cause analysis and troubleshooting.
• 10 years of experience with software development, project management and testing practices.
• 10 years of experience developing application framework components.
• 10 years of experience with implementing Health Care and/or State Government/Public Service Systems.
• 5 years of experience with formal software testing.
• 2 years of experience with the HMS or other clinic management and/or electronic health record software.
• 2 years of experience with the development of web based applications utilizing Intersystem Cache (CSP and/or Zen), .Net, Java
• 2 years of experience using SQL, HTML, CSS, JavaScript and JQuery
