Education : Bachelors or Masters in Mechanical Engineering.

Location: Auburn Hills, Michigan

Duration: 3 to 6 months

Job Description :

 

Experience: Product design experience in Automotive industry, specifically on

·         plastic part design (solids) with design for injection molding tooling knowledge

·         HVAC design

• Minimum 4 – 8 years of experience
• Mechanical Product design(NPD) is must, specifically on plastic parts
• Catia V5  ( part design, assembly design, Detailing) knowledge is must
• Experience in plastic parts Design and Documentation ( able to conceptualise, detail the design and coordinate with manufacturing vendors for prototyping)
• Good understanding of manufacturing for plastic parts through molding
• Conceptual engineering / Detail design
• Material Selection
• Good Knowledge of DFM,  DFA, DFMEA
• Good Knowledge of GD&T
• Vendor Interaction / Prototype development
• Knowledge of ASME, ANSI, IEC standards
• 3D Tolerance stack-up analysis preferred.
• Experience in  Environmental tests preferred
