GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES

 Responsible for design, analysis and development of web reports along with the writing of these reports 

based on detailed specifications

 Responsible for querying data sources with different logical or physical data models

 Validates data in reports using SQL (DB2, SQL Server)

 Responsible for segments or phases of broader and more complex aspects of projects with a global focus on 

development.

 Analyzes the functional requirements and designs, clarify scope and breadth of work tasks with business 

analysts and product managers. 

 Follows industry standards, patterns and best practices for .Net development techniques in implementing 

business rules

 Understands and is able to identify and implement reusable code in an object oriented fashion

 Assists team lead in building, deploying and releasing application builds

 Keeps in touch with the latest .Net technology and continues to develop his/her technical skills.

 Reviews code and perform an adequate level of functional to ensure quality standards are attained.

QUALIFICATIONS

 Bachelor's degree in computer science, math, computer engineering or equivalent experience

 5+ years of experience developing using .Net technologies

 5+ years of experience with Microsoft SQL Server/IBM DB2 development 

 Solid foundation in computer science, with competencies in data structures, algorithms and software 

design.

 Software development and testing experience using .Net, C#, ASP

 Working knowledge of such platforms as Windows, UNIX, and Linux.

 Able to handle detail-oriented work while meeting schedules and deadlines

 Analyze and recommend solutions to programming issues, defects and bugs as assigned or encountered. 

 Translate the detail design to perform programming tasks to complete the project as required with some 

supervision. 

 Proficient at using code profiling and debugging tools

Project Overview: We are porting an existing mainframe-based reporting system to the Microsoft SQL Server technology stack.

Position Overview: We are looking for an analyst with SQL Server experience, including SSIS, SSAS & SSRS. This person will work closely with our business stakeholders and other software and IT team members to design data loading, transformation, and reporting capabilities using Microsoft technologies including SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS), SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS), SQL Server Analysis Services (SSAS), Extract, Transform, and Load (ETL), and Microsoft SQL Server 2008/2012. The legacy system is mainframe based, so experience porting legacy reporting systems is highly desirable (but not required).

 

Specific duties include: As a Systems Analyst, you will work as a part of the Software organization with developers, business users, DBAs, and IT team members on the following:

  • Design reports through Reporting Services (SSRS) from a variety of data sources including Analysis Services Cubes and relational databases.
  • Design solutions using SSIS/ETL/SSAS/SSRS technologies.
  • Create design artifacts such as functional specifications, and data mappings.
  • Review business requirements, technical designs and implementation documentation.
  • Collaborate with business users and SMEs to ensure the creation of production BI designs that satisfy the analytics and reporting needs.

Job Description:

As a business analyst in the Innovation Portfolio, this individual will be responsible for analysis and documentation necessary to support project objectives.  The business analyst will also coordinate with the project team to define, track, and report on key metrics for each pilot within the initiative in order to identify iteration opportunities as well as articulate pilot performance versus success criteria.  Heavy emphasis on ability to communicate with business leadership and technical teams, work across multiple concurrent initiatives, and ability to self-direct activities.  This individual will be expected to learn the functional landscape of their assigned initiative(s) within a reasonable timeframe, and apply that understanding in conjunction with past experience in order to create meaningful pilot performance analysis, requirements definition, and other project deliverables.  This individual will also contribute to change management activities such as scope, requirements, expected benefits definition and results analysis, and take responsibility for on-time delivery of other assigned project tasks and responsibilities as needed.

Senior Linux Systems Engineer

Location: Philadelphia, PA

Major Duties:

  • Function as a key member of the team responsible for the day-to-day system administration and operation of video delivery systems with concentration on metrics data collection, analysis, reporting, tools and solutions development (coding/scripting/dashboard development) and operational support.
  • Function as a leader to the team to provide day-to-day, system administration, and operational support of VOD (Video on Demand) video delivery systems.
  • Be approachable and available for dissemination of Linux and scripting skills for team members ramping up on Linux platforms.
  • Support of thousands of Linux systems, both from external vendors and internal projects.
  • Participate in the design review of new technical features and architecture changes to the Video on Demand content management and delivery systems.

  • Administration, maintenance, support and scaling of Application Servers (Puppet, Tomcat, JBoss, etc.)
  • Creation of shell scripts to automate tasks and perform basic data analysis.
  • Coding experience in Python, Perl, Ruby or PHP, the scripting languages used for dynamic web pages  and web development (like classic HTML or XHTML, JavaScript, Java)

Data Reporting Analyst

Location: Philadelphia, PA

The ideal candidate will have experience and passion for supporting data analysis with the highest attention to detail and data quality. The Reporting Analyst is responsible for fulfilling ad-hoc data requests for other teams, and developing reports in tableau or other business intelligence tools as needed, as well as supporting business in month-end and quarterly executive reports. This person will be comfortable collecting and documenting requirements, and interfacing with the business in non-technical terms, while also comfortably discussing technical details. The ideal candidate will be knowledgeable in software development, and able to do analysis on large unstructured data sets and quickly grasp new technologies.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Supports short and long term reporting activities
  • Develops, enhances, and maintains utilization and trending reports for clients
  • Prepares, analyzes and monitors new, routine and ad hoc reports.
