Technical/Functional Skills Cisco Data Virtualization (Composite) and Netezza
Experience Required
· A minimum of 7 years 'experience with database technologies and minimum of 4 years hands on experience with data warehouse appliance products like Netezza.
· Minimum of 1 year experience with Composite or other Data Virtualization tools.
· Strong in RDBMS and SQL fundamentals.
· Experience with developing scripts for Netezza maintenance and operational jobs.
· Overall understanding of end to end data warehouse architecture, from tools to middleware to data quality. Ability to quickly trouble shoot customer problems and offer solutions.
· Firm understanding of Database/Warehouse concepts to work on Performance tuning & troubleshooting. Able to handle day to day activities/issues like access, server performance in database/warehouse areas.
· Good understanding in Installation Planning/Configuration/Migration of Netezza appliances.
· Knowledge of leading-edge technologies, new methodologies, and best practices applicable to work performed.
Roles & Responsibilities
· Collaborate with various development groups across AIG to execute standard software development activities including design, development, implementation, test, documentation, and support using standard established software engineering principles.
· Manage the multiple work streams our Big Data Team juggles on a daily basis.
· Develop techniques to analyze, enhance, and implement structured and unstructured data.
· Operationalize data science models.
· Performance tuning.
· Coordinate with other groups/units to perform all capacity planning activities in facility.
