[6608MSCRMCV] REQ!! VMware Architect-6 Months contract

A Converged Infrastructure  Architect travels regularly to client locations, and often acts as a lone consultant on engagements. The Converged Infrastructure  Architect will be required to:

 • Participate in pre-sales efforts, which may involve customer visits, conference calls, and assisting with defining the scope of services tasks for potential engagements

• Assess customer environment and requirements and design world-class virtualization solutions, leveraging best practices and best-of-breed technologies

• Installs and configures software and hardware systems

• Performs system integration tasks

• Develops customer relationships with data center customers in conjunction with Sirius sales teams

 

Basic Qualifications

- • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Management Information Systems, or related field

• At least five (5) years of information technology work experience and experience architecting, implementing, and/or managing virtual infrastructure environments

 

Other Position Requirements –

• Experience with VMware virtualization technologies including vSphere, vCenter management suite, Site Recovery Manager, vCloud Suite, and Horizon Suite • Experience with x86 server and converged infrastructure technologies including IBM, Dell, HP and Cisco

• Experience with storage platforms including NetApp, EMC, IBM, HP, & Dell Compellent

• Demonstrated knowledge of platform and network connectivity

• Demonstrated ability to work closely with customers • Demonstrated communication and presentation skills

• Demonstrate d ability to produce clear and detailed technical documentation

• Demonstrate d ability to work independently and in a team environment

 Preferred Qualifications:

• Minimum five years consulting experience

 • Minimum five years of experience with virtualization solutions

• One or more of the following certifications

• VMware Certified Professional (VCP)

• VMware Certified Advanced Professional (VCAP)

• VMware Certified Design Expert (VCDX)

• Microsoft Certified Solutions Expert (MCSE) • Microsoft Certified Solutions Master (MCSM)

• Experience with Microsoft virtualization technologies including RDS, App-V, & Hyper-V

• Experience with mobile application management and mobile device management solutions

• Experience with Citrix virtualization technologies including XenApp, XenDesktop, XenMobile and NetScaler

                 

Essential Functions

The position exists to provide consulting solutions to customers and as such requires the ability to travel to and from customer sites and interact with customers on an ongoing and regular basis.
