Database Architect/Developer
6 months + possible extensions
Location – OK

 

Primary Responsibilities:

 

• Translating the business requirements/system requirements into data requirements and data architecture/solutions.

• Performing database development activities including writing scripts to create databases, database objects, and assign proper application roles.

• Write scripts to create views, procedures, and functions in support of application development.

• Create SSIS packages and scripts to migrate data or perform ETL’s.

• Develop the database design and review changes throughout the project to understand how changes to be made affect the overall model.

• Create multi-dimensional cubes, dimensions, facts and data source views in SSAS or Logi Analytics packages.

• Create business level reports in SSRS

Knowledge and Experience:

• 3+ years of experience as a database architect/developer and deploying large scale, complex business related applications.

• Experience working in a Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC)

• Experience creating SSIS packages to automate import and export of data to and from SQL Server 2012 Enterprise.

• Experience in performance tuning and query optimization.

• Familiarity with clustering and SQL Server Service Broker

• Should have participated in, and be familiar with, Agile (Scrum) project methodology and practices

• Experience tracking work in Team Foundation Server Application Lifecycle Management

• Experience with OLAP Cubes and other Analytics Packages

• Experience with Logi Analytics a plus

• Candidate must be organized and analytical, adept at working in a team environment, able to design and implement a project schedule, and able to handle multiple priorities.

• Proven leadership skills, particularly with providing architectural direction as it relates to application deployment/development and integration.

Contractor will have to provide their own laptop and we will provide them with a virtual machine to log into to gain access to the state network.
