Java Programmer III
Duration: 3 Months Contract
Location: Alpharetta, GA
Job Description :
· Responsible for performing complex analysis, design, programming, and modifications of computer programs for software products and/or
· Customer applications. Writes code and completes programming, testing, and debugging of applications. Determines forms, procedures, and other documentation needed for installation and maintenance of application programs.
· Interfaces with marketing and customers to add new or custom features to company products. May provide work leadership and training to lower level professional staff.
· Typically requires a technical degree and 5 to 7 years related experience. Requires familiarity with many of these technologies:
· DOS/Windows, OS/2, 32-bit Windows Programming, OLE Automation and OLE Control, Win32 Windows Device Drivers, Windows NT, C++, Assembler, GUI, Java, Java Script, HTML, DHTML, Active Server Pages, OLE DB, DCOM, and ActiveX. May be involved in the development of BIOS, drivers or system software and tools such as ICE, soft-ICE, and kernel debugger.;

Essential functions:
· Able to use professional concepts and company processes to solve routine problems. Works on problems of varying scope and complexity.
· Exercises judgment using standard software development processes in analyzing situations or data.
· Analyzes, programs, debugs and modifies computer programs for end user applications.
· Designs or conducts design modifications of complex systems or subsystems. .
· Performs design Changes for product improvements/upgrades and actively participates in design and code reviews. . Conducts tests, both unit and integration testing, of software configurations.
· Completes documentation and procedures for installation and maintenance (technical documentation and Specifications which are generally for internal use only).
· Exhibits high personal commitment to quality, implementing Development best practices.
· Works with Quality Engineering and Support staff to resolve problems with released software.
· Provides input on program schedule and accurate estimation of project deadlines.
· Able to work under tight deadlines . Assists manufacturing in troubleshooting and testing. Resolves programming Problems.
· Handles escalated technical support cases . Provides input towards general process improvement . Other job related duties as assigned
Qualifications
Basic qualifications:
· Bachelors Degree in a technical discipline 4-8 years of related experience
· Experience in Object Oriented analysis and design on highly scalable Web based applications Commercial Experience with C#/.NET and/or Java, MS SQL Server database development.
· Proficient in automated unit test development practices and design methodologies
· Excellent written and oral communication skills Ability to effectively multi-task; Ability to drive issues to effective resolution; Ability to find solutions to challenging, time-critical problems Experience, certification/training or skills in development environments, architecture, software design, coding and testing, and programming languages
