Title : Performance Engineers
Duration : 12+ Months and can extend for long term
Location : Edison, NJ
Interview : Telephone Interview
This is not Performance Tester role.. it is for Performance Engineers
· Work collaboratively with Product Architects and Product organizations in defining performance NFRs.
· Work collaboratively with Product Architects and Engineering organizations in the development of performance testing strategy and test plans for the product.
· Review and understand Non-Functional Requirements (NFRs) defined, map defined NFRs with product release functionality from performance and scalability testing perspective.
· Develop scripts to test the defined NFRs for various UI or Non-UI based applications.
· Oversee/Lead performance testing projects end to end.
· Provide estimates and WBS for performance projects.
· Execute test , analyze results and provide solutions to performance bottlenecks.
· Collaborate with Leads/PMs to define technically feasible WBS on performance activities and be liaison from performance projects.
· Create and publish performance benchmark reports.
· Perform hardware sizing to fulfil customer volume and scalability requirements.
· Might require working directly with the customer in resolution of the performance issues in their environment.
· Providing innovative solutions to improve the product performance life cycle management.
Minimum Qualifications:
· Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent experience.
· Advanced Computer Science Degree preferred.
· In depth hands on knowledge in using performance bench-mark tools like Silk Performer, Load Runner, JMeter etc. performance profiling tools. Silkperformer knowledge is desired,.
· Hands on experience in scripting, executing, monitoring, analyzing and creating benchmark reports.
· Good understanding/exposure to various industry standard stacks and hands on using those for performance test execution and monitoring.
· Good understanding/exposure on web servers (IBM IHS, IIS, Apache etc.), application servers(WebSphere, JBOSS etc.) and Database servers (Oracle, DB2…)
· Expert level, hands on experience on Solaris/Unix
· In depth knowledge in leading large scale performance benchmark executions in global setup.
· Good exposure on handling customer reported performance bottlenecks and timely resolution.
· Excellent communication skills (oral and written)
· Excellent in systematic problem analysis and resolution.
· Excellent collaboration skills
· Hard worker with global exposure.
· 9+ years of experience in application performance NFR & benchmarking execution.
· Good exposure on Analytic models of application performance.
Highly desired qualifications:
· Previous experience in the payments or financial services industries highly desired.
· In depth knowledge in application testing, analysis and tuning for better performance, scalability and availability
· Good understanding/ hands on experience on, Solaris/Unix environments.
· Hands-on experience in Oracle DB Performance monitoring/tuning.
· Active MQ (configuration and performance monitoring/tuning) experience
· Oracle Golden Gate Replication (configuration and performance monitoring/tuning) experience
· Familiarity with UNIX/C (Core Product language)
