Job Description:
Are you looking for a new exciting challenge where you can add value and make an impact? We are a Pre-IPO market leader in cloud security experiencing tremendous growth and seeking innovative Java Developers to join our growing team.
This position will be responsible for architecting and developing high-performance cloud security gateway to deliver features required to enable real-time encryption of data in the cloud. It will be a hands-on role and responsibilities will include scoping, designing and implementation in Java/J2EE. Will also work with cross-functional teams to ensure products meet functionality, cost and reliability requirements. Must be able to carry out complex tasks with a minimum of guidance and be comfortable providing detailed guidance to others. Must have the ability to manage multiple complex projects concurrently and a demonstrated ability to lead remote teams in time-critical projects.
Job Responsibilities:
· Driving the architecture and design, and leading development of high-throughput Java based Client's Gateway platform.
· Design and Implement large scale search and Indexing systems
· Designs complex programs and specifications. Review changes in code and the environment to determine impacts on system performance.
· Research and recommend software applications/tools to provide technical leadership in developing service applications and analyzing business requirements.
· Driving generation of comprehensive architecture and feature specification documents.
· Develops, integrates and implements related applications components, server-side development and database integration.
· Leading test plan development and execution.
· Preparation of technical product documentation used internally.
· Must be able to drive problem-solving strategies for complex issues that involve cross-functional disciplines.
· Estimate and plan implementation effort of features.
· Write high-quality code with emphasis on security, performance, and scalability.
· Participate actively and contribute to design, development discussions.
· Perform technical analysis to present pros and cons of various solutions to problems.
· Mentor team members as and when necessary
Desired Skills & Experience:
· BS or MS in Computer Science or equivalent.
· Experience with distributed search and indexing systems like Elastic Search/Lucene/Solr.
· Experience building large scale systems
· Hands on experience in the design and development of software products/applications built on the Java platform.
· Core Java hands-on programming skills in Networking, HTTP, SMTP, Web services, XML, Cookie/URL handling, and performance tuning.
· Experience with Continuous Integration and code quality improvement tools (Sonar, PMD, eclemma, Maven etc).
· Excellent inter-personal and communication skills.
· Excellent debugging skills, code reviewing capabilities and refactoring skills.
· Quick learner and a self-starter.
· Working knowledge of Linux based test and deployment environments.
· Exposure to and interest in Open Source frameworks, tools, and technologies.
