Tasks & Duties
• Develop System Design Specifications.
• Develop and prepare document for the general design of solutions that meet system and integrity requirements, including the selection of alternative approaches.
• Develop specifications for, communication systems, network, security, storage and hardware/software configurations.
• Develop structured diagrams for the specifications of vCloud infrastructure, communication systems, storage area networks, security.
• Develop, compile, Maintain and document configurations of the following: servers, computers, security and network monitor systems, packaged programs, utilities, and communication systems.
• Develop System Documentation.
• Develop operational and installation procedures for communication systems, hardware, network, security, storage and software.
• Develop guidelines and upgrade techniques of new operational procedures for the support of Privet Cloud, HP hardware systems, operating systems software, network systems software, security and client server systems.
• Develop, design and architect detailed systems operations designs.
• Perform Optimization/Tuning/Resources analysis and report.
• Measure the performance of the system before modification. Keep track of historical data and correlate system requirements with any program added or removed.
• Identify and remove bottlenecks in order to improve performance.
• Measure the performance of the system after modification.
• Repeats as needed.
• Perform System Design/scripting/coding.
• Works with MIS staff (e.g., managers, senior programmers, support staff) to plan program code implementation, enhancements and changes.
• Creates, tests and Maintain program code, maintain different level of snapshots on virtualized platform.
• Designs reports, audit trails/logs and security mechanisms.
• Provide assistance to MIS technical support staff when they are unable to resolve a program, database, or IT issue by themselves.
• Provide general programming assistance to other MIS programmers/projects as needed.
• Perform Testing/Evaluation.
• Tests programs and systems and integrates system modules.
• Develop, implements, and monitors information technology quality assurance standards.
• Performs other duties.
• Write scripts to automate VMware and Windows tasks.
Required Skills
• Minimum 8 Years Experience in strong conceptual understanding of Shared Hosted environment in Windows platform.
• Minimum 8 Years Experience in understanding of Distributed Virtual Switches, computing environments, understanding the principals of routing, client/server programming, and the design of consistent network wide file systems.
• Minimum 8 Years In depth understanding of system analysis, system optimization, shared resources and system tuning
• Minimum 8 Years Experience in the ability to communicate effectively, on both a technical and non-technical level, with appropriate Agency staff at all levels, as well as with vendors
• Minimum 8 Years Experience in the ability to automate day to day repetitive tasks with administrative script writing.
• Minimum 8 Years Experience in the ability to identify problem, communicate and involve right people to solve problems
• Minimum 4 Years Experience understanding and hands on experience of Service Catalog and Service based platforms architecture
• Minimum 4 Years Hands on experience with VMware vCcloud Director
• Minimum 4 Years Experience in the ability to work with different tools of capacity planning, stress testing and generating reports.
• Minimum 4 Years Experience with VMware vCOps
• Minimum 4 Years Experience understanding of PowerShell and WMI scripting
Desired Skills
• 8 Years Experience in understanding of Storage Area Network and LUN zoning.
