Job Duties and Responsibilities

·         Effectively develop solutions, lead teams

·         Collaborate with developers, business analysts, and internal customers in conceptualizing and development of new internet and intranet facing applications.

·         Liaise with network administrators, systems analysts, and software engineers to assist in resolving problems with software products or company software systems.

·         Analyze and assess existing internet and intranet applications, development methods and procedures.

 

Experience, Skills, Knowledge

·         BS or BA in the field of computer science or software engineering or equivalent work experience.

·         5+ years of experience with JAVA ( Must be an expert at JAVA)

·         Strong developer across the board with Java tools and frameworks.

·         Some experience leading development teams and/or mentoring junior developers is preferred.

·         Someone that is comfortable filling several roles including:

·         Lead developer, as part of a team or developing on their own

·         Application architect, working with Enterprise Architects to design solutions

·         Development lead experienced with Agile development processes

·         Development experience utilizing JAVA 7.1

·         CMS

·         eCommerce Relational Database Technology

·         Open Source Frameworks

·         IDE

·         Web application environment

·         J2EE container environment

·         Continuous Integration Platform

·         Security

·         Reference Technology

·         Experience with Microsoft Project and Team Foundation Software (TFS) a plus.

·         Proficiency in a variety of object oriented programming languages, including Java

·         Excellent understanding of coding methods, Software Development Lifecycle, Secure Coding Practices.

·         Extensive relational database and operating systems experience

·         Thorough understanding of Linux, Windows Server and IIS Server

·         Hands-on experience developing test cases and test plans.
