Position – Netezza Developer
Location – San Francisco, CA
Duration – 6 months +

Overview:
Looking for a Data Warehouse developer who has experience with Netezza DW Appliance. This will include In-depth understanding of the GDE, core component sets (i.e. Dataset, Database, Transform, Look-up, De-partition & Partition), file management utilities and usage of environment variables.
- developing data integration applications leveraging Netezza data ingest tools and methodologies.
- analyzing and optimizing Netezza performance of extracts, loads and transformations
Requirements:
The resource should have minimum of three years of experience working directly in Netezza based data warehouse projects, preferably in the Health Care Payer space. The key skills that will make this candidate successful are:
1. Expert knowledge around Netezza ELT capabilities.
2. Expert knowledge in Netezza performance tuning.
3. Deep understanding of Netezza best practices.
4. Deep understanding of UNIX scripting.
5 Working knowledge of Netezza database administration.
Other skills
- Hands-on experience and proficiency with Netezza SQL
- Hands-on experience and proficiency with UNIX and shell scripting
- Strong knowledge and use of BI/DW development methodologies, standards and procedures
- Resourceful, self starter, little supervision needed
- Good team work and communication skills
- Understanding of change management and automation/repeatability
- Ability to multi-task and provide expertise for multiple development teams across concurrent project tasks
