Duties include but are not limited to the following:
· Providing expert services in architecting, designing and implementing Business Intelligence (BI) and Data Warehousing solution for the department. Assist the department in establishing a new Enterprise Warehouse.
· Establishes an architectural model and a total solution for the department, establishes "best practices".
· Provides strong professional consulting skills and the ability to communicate well at all levels of the organization.
· Documents the system architecture and prepares design documents that is easily understandable to less technical individuals.
· Knowledgeable in NYS SFS business processes and transactional files for warehouse loading and processing.
· Develops complex SQL statements using advanced analysis functions Design of data warehouse solutions using Oracle Design development testing and tuning of ETL processes.
· Experience in architecting a data warehouse from the ground up, including but not limited to the design of ETL processes and ETL strategy, security, auditing, maintenance, availability, etc.
· Provides experience with Oracle 10g databases.
· Team player, must be able to work professionally and collaboratively with the government customer and other contract members of the project team.
· Establishing the long-term strategy and technical architecture as well as the short-term scope for a multi-phased data warehouse effort.
Skills Needed:
· 84 months Providing expert services in architecting, designing and implementing data warehouses for applications and Business Intelligence (BI) solutions for large scale/complex environments.
· 84 months Experience in the design of ETL processes and ETL strategy, security, auditing, tuning and maintenance.
· 84 months Experience in incorporating data normalization and referential integrity enforcement techniques.
· 84 months Experience creating and using procedures, views and functions to support application development and BI solutions.
· 84 months Experience in designing Operational Data Stores, Ad-Hoc reporting databases, or Data Marts.
· 84 months Experience with Oracle databases in delivering large-scale warehousing solutions that are multi-terabyte in size.
· 48 months Establishing long-term strategies and technical architectures as well as the short-term scope for a multi-phased complex data warehouse efforts
· 18 months Experience with NYS SFS (Statewide Financial System) business processes and transactions files related to bulkload, budget management (KK) and procurement contract processing.
