Position: Sybase IQ Developer
Location: New york city, New York
Contract Duration: 6-12 months
Minimum Requirements:
3+ years in developing and maintaining Sybase IQ Stored Procedures and Tables
7+ years in developing and maintaining Sybase ASE Stored Procedures, Tables, Views and Triggers and indexes
Knowledge in data modeling, Schema design and Relational Concepts
Experience in converting stored procedures and queries from Sybase ASE to Sybase IQ
Experience in analyzing ASE stored procedures for performance and providing optimization solutions
Experience with UNIX/WINDOWS scripting languages, SVN and Autosys
Knowledgeable and resourceful in identifying conversion issues and finding solutions
Experience in Jasper Reports a plus
Knowledge in Database Administration a plus
Experience in Investment Management and Financial Reporting a plus
Strong Communication Skills
B.S or Advanced Degree in Computer Science

Skill and Role Summary:
Sybase IQ Developer for working with reporting team to develop new and enhance current financial reports.
Main duties and responsibilities:
Develop, maintain, enhance and test stored procedures in Sybase IQ and ASE
Convert stored procedures from Sybase ASE to Sybase IQ
Work closely with QA and Production Support in resolving conversion data quality issues
Analyze, Identify and Resolve Performance Issues with ASE Stored Procedures
Review development work of offshore resources.
