Job: Build Engineer with Unix and Python
Contract: 6 month contract, but it will extend longer
Location: Richardson, TX
Rate: $55
They are looking for someone at a high level on Clearcase, Unix, Python, Shell, with at least 9 years of experience and about 3+ years of experience on Git, Gerrit, and Jenkins.
Job Description:
Responsible for maintenance of version-controlled build systems to build loads, generate reports, write and maintain various scripts and tools for use by build team, development and test groups.
Job Duties:
Write new and maintain existing scripts or tools and work with the build team to provide build, branch, tool and SCM support to development and test teams and provide a good quality software delivery to the test group and customers. The assignments include maintaining different branches in the revision control systems and merging them together and interacting with the defect tracking system. Work with development and test groups to resolve configuration management issues.
Required Experience:
3+ years of administration experience with Git, Gerrit and Jenkins.
9+ years of UNIX shell, Python and Perl programming. Knowledge of the software configuration management processes, Makefiles and compilers. GIT & Clearcase knowledge is REQUIRED.
