Position : MSSQL Developer (CDS)
Location: Stamford , CT

12 Months Plus Project.

 

Role Description:
This role is for an experienced MSSQL Developer to be part of a small, global team of database professionals responsible for developing the Cash Equities database platform. The platform includes a suite of mission critical applications spanning the full spectrum of electronic trading activity from static and reference data services through pre trade, execution, reporting, and post trade analysis. Core Data Services is part of the Equities strategic trading platform and its continued development and improvement are essential to our success.

The successful candidate will be able to coordinate with Equities stakeholders in the business as well as technical project managers and team leads. They will also coordinate with the production DBAs to ensure their solutions are scalable and reliable in the production environment. This is an excellent opportunity to be part of a small, global team working on the enterprise build out of a strategic product.

 

Requirements:

• Strong understanding of logical modeling, data, and procedure design
• Solid experience writing reliable stored procedure code for mission critical production environment
• Outstanding analysis skills - understand application data patterns, business requirements, concurrency risks, etc.
• Excellent troubleshooting, unit testing, and problem solving skills
• Outstanding verbal and written communications skills with ability to document work
• Working knowledge of Equities business and products

 

Preferred Qualifications:

• Working knowledge of Linux, Perl, Oracle
• Experience working with data warehouses
• Experience designing processes for managing volume data (Migration, ETL, Import, Export, etc.)
