Description

Duties:

WU is in the process of re-launching PMO with the objective to improve project management excellence in the organization. In support of this, we are looking forward to have an experienced consultant help in setting up the Project Management Office, templates, tools, procedures etc. to ensure alignment with PPM and business partners exists and successful delivery of projects. The proven individual must have structured approach to implement PMO and roll out project management disciplines, procedures, organizations, personnel and software needed to run the PMO effectively on all projects. Additional goals would include the following but not limited:

• Achieve excellence in applying the best project management discipline.

• Establish standards for project management including tools, reporting, software and procedures.

• Establish standard tools needed by all projects including work breakdown structures (WBS), statements of work (SOW), template schedules and risk checklists that can be tailored as needed.

• Compile data and lessons learned about projects for use on future projects.

• Bring specialized knowledge, such as risk and Issue management to the managing of projects.

• Provide an independent view of projects and project management for executive management.

• Provide support services such as scheduling, reporting, time charging and record keeping.

• Providing project management education and training to the organization as needed

Developing career paths and certifications



• Earlier experience in setting up PMO for fortune 500 companies is required with referrals. Provide referrals for at least 2 PMO implementations

• Experienced in implementing PMO for matrix organization with reporting to multiple stakeholders

• Must bring standard tools, disciplines, and other artifacts etc.

• Define metrics and consistent reporting to satisfy different stakeholder needs
